Fundraising software provider offers $100,000 in matching grants and an additional $12,000 to inspire year-end fundraising success
WASHINGTON, DC – Nov. 12, 2015 – Network for Good, a nonprofit-owned B Corporation that provides fundraising software and coaching for nonprofits, today announced the availability of $100,000 in matching grants and an additional $12,000 to inspire eligible nonprofits’ fundraising success on #GivingTuesday.
The funds are part of Network for Good’s 2015 #GivingTuesday™ campaign, which features tools, webinars, training and donor incentives to support charities in year-end fundraising, particularly on Dec. 1 – a global day of giving held annually since 2012 on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
Network for Good will offer matching funds and challenge prizes to nonprofits using its donation platform that raise at least $100 on #GivingTuesday. Once the $100 minimum has been met, any additional donations made on Dec. 1 to a nonprofit customer through Network for Good’s online platform will be matched at an estimated ratio of 1:40 based on a projected donation volume of $4-million.
In addition, Network for Good will award eligible nonprofits $12,000 in prize money in the following categories:
- Most donations raised on #GivingTuesday in dollars
- Most donors participating in #GivingTuesday
- Most new recurring monthly donors based on the number of individuals who pledge on #GivingTuesday to give a set amount each month
In each category, Network for Good will award $2,500 to the top nonprofit, $1,000 to the first runner up, and $500 to the second runner up.
“Our team of experts and advisors at Network for Good are working around the clock to support nonprofits in gearing up for the busiest fundraising season of the year,” said Caryn Stein, Network for Good’s vice president, communications and content. “We are optimistic that Network for Good’s customers will experience their best end-of-year fundraising season – on #GivingTuesday and throughout December.”
Network for Good customers who won prizes in 2014 included:
- Alameda County Community Food Bank, Oakland, Calif. – Most dollars raised on #GivingTuesday 2014.
- Middle East Cultural and Charitable Society, Cambridge, Mass. – Most donors on #GivingTuesday 2014.
- Wildlife SOS – Most recurring donors who pledged on #GivingTuesday 2014.
